AN IMMERSIVE JOURNEY INTO THE WORLD OF DEFENDER
Defender guests were treated to an exclusive two night retreat at Defender Experience: Byron Bay. Set in the breathtaking Byron Bay hinterland, an oasis of peace and tranquillity, the lucky attendees took an immersive journey into the world of Defender.
Over three indulgent days, guests enjoyed mouth-watering dining, curated wellness sessions, unique Defender drive excursions and more. This one-of-a-kind getaway started with transfers in a private chauffeured Defender to arrive at the luxurious SOMA, nestled in 22 acres of rainforest.
Guests were invited to design their own luxe adventure and embrace the balance of Yin and Yang energies. Acoustic sound meditations, sunrise yoga sessions, full body massages and guided pilates put the focus on mind, body and soul. Defender drive experiences included a scenic coastal drive to Cape Byron Lighthouse, a rainforest excursion with lunch, and an off-road adventure where the Defender was pushed to its limits. Meanwhile, memorable dining moments included a fire and smoke dining experience at the fire pit, and a curated dinner by the renowned Three Blue Ducks.
INTRODUCING THE DEFENDER PACIFIC BLUE EDITION
The Defender Pacific Blue Edition was also unveiled at Defender Experience: Byron Bay, with the vehicle designed to celebrate Australia’s Pacific coastline and its surfing culture. With just 15 of these models created, it comes in the 90 body design with the D250 powertrain, which features a 3.0-litre twin turbocharged Ingenium six-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 183kW of power and 570 Nm of torque. The models will be wrapped in a stunning Pacific Blue matte finish, contrasted with a white roof and enhanced with black roof rails, a sliding glass panoramic roof and privacy glass. It’s also equipped with white 18-inch steel wheels and all-terrain tyres, adding to its rugged appearance.
Each Pacific Blue Edition features unique badging highlighting it as ‘One of 15’ and a custom Defender-branded surfboard featuring design cues from this limited-edition vehicle. The Defender Pacific Blue Edition is available to order now through Australian Defender retailers. Priced from $129,976 plus on-road costs, deliveries will commence from May 2024.
