We sat down with Bohannah to hear about the family’s most recent adventure in Australia.
THE VERSATILITY OF THE DISCOVERY
Discovery’s are perfect for the great coastal or great outback adventures. What is your favourite local WA location you and the family frequent?
We're super lucky to live only moments away from some of WA's most stunning beaches. One of our favourites is Shelley Beach in West Cape National Park. The drive out there is stunning, and it's a great spot to set up camp for a night under the stars.
How did the Discovery assist you with your day-to-day activities during the period you had it?
The third-row seat meant there was plenty of room to take extra friends, which is important to us. We found the Discovery to run very quietly, which meant we could have meaningful conversations while enjoying the smooth drive. When we didn’t have extra friends in the back, we folded the seats down and brought our doggo along for the journey, and there was more than enough space for her and us to stretch our legs!
What makes traveling with family so important to you?
Traveling has always been a big part of our life, and we love that we have been able to incorporate it into our lifestyle almost seamlessly. We like to feel in tune with nature, moving with the seasons and being inspired by our surroundings. Exploring places for the first time and experiencing something new together is something that really excites us. Traveling as a family helps us feel more connected to each other and the simple joys in life.
As a frequent road trip traveller, what are your top tips for other families starting their adventures?
I think it’s really important to not overthink and stress about the ‘what ifs.’ When it comes to road-trip adventures, things don’t always go to plan, and that’s part of the adventure. Kids are resilient; it’s the adults' job to be flexible, go with the flow, and enjoy the journey! Because the best adventures are the simple ones.
